nema kraja - no end (music video)

nema kraja - lyrics by a good friend of mine, bosko radjenovic. bosko came over to my loft studio and laid down some reference tracks. i added three voice tracks, bass and got funny with my camera. Acid Pro, Windows Movie Maker, Canon PowerShot SD 200 and Google is all it took to put this little 3 hour project together.

This funny tune I recorded few years ago with Peter Beck while we were hanging out in Madams Organ, Adams Morgan. At the time I was playing with few musicians in DC area but studying for my IT exams as well--an obvious inspiration:-) Last night I had an idea to turn it into my first music video. I used some film footage from my recent trip to Argentina which I filtered in the movie maker. Thanks to a cool mix, my very good friend, Burak Bilgin. Here it is and I hope you like it.

then it was time to move on and start something new. during early year 2000, ted (the doc), lee and seth joined in and we had a base for the band. james mckinnon was involved with the band management. we were jamming and creating cool tunes in rich wards mom's house in md suburbs of washington dc. this period was fun. we played in bars and clubs around town. few songs that are worth mentioning emerged from this period,"maryjane","mia", " sometimes," "refugee of_a_modern_time " and "one behind ". the song "hollow", one of my favorite songs was also recorded in this session, lyrics by igor stanisavljev.

daisyhase recording was probably my favorite ever. this band helped me record four songs in a garage somewhere in MD. the song "my eyes" was born in a single cut jam session, after tripping on guinness and reggae. i am not even sure what genre the song belongs to:). I liked it so much that I decided to include the song to my promotional demo. the song "again" was recorded at the same time as well. it is sort of a love song i guess. "where i'm going", is a remake of a love song of a good friend of mine, Hari. Hajrudin Memic, we grew up together in Bosnia dreaming of becoming a "world known" rock stars:). Hope he's doing well. This song is dedicated to Hari.

these were the tough years for me. just arrived to united states to start a new life and of course, to become a rock star:).

anytime was written in martinique, french indies in '93 and recovering in nyc back in '94. at the time, my home country of bosnia was in war. let me know what you think.
